Who we are

4ward-NA Biotech GmbH was founded in 2024 by veterans of the nucleic acid (NA)-purification industry. From Altomünster in Bavaria/Germany it serves its almost globally based customers with a unique state-of-the-art nucleic acid purification solution. The company commands exclusive access to the puriSorb®-Technology, that builds the core of its products and is completely different to the established silica or magnetic-bead-based products.

PuriSorb® allows for a linear, simple and fast purification protocol that provides high-throughput like performance1 without expensive equipment2 while reducing the ecological footprint§. Already in its first year 4ward-NA won and serves customers, each using puriSorbTM-based products at six-digit purification number level annually.

4ward-NA® with puriSorb® Technology

is a real single-step purification method. Its key innovation – the reversal of the purification process – yields the following significant advantages:

  1. Unwanted components within the lysate to interfere later in down-stream processes are bound to puriSorb® and removed, while:
    • No lengthy, error promoting washing and/or elution steps required!
    • No clogging, no foaming!
    • DNA passes through ready for downstream applications (Restriction Digests, (real-time) PCR, Genotyping etc.)!
  1. The one-step process of 4ward-NA® with puriSorb® Technology inside is much easier and considerably faster than conventional separation systems:
    • Up to ten times faster than market leader, lowers personnel cost of DNA-purification, no extra investment for high throughput results!
    • Easy process limits scope for error/mistakes!
    • Reduces waste burden (plastics, chemicals); no hazardous chemicals involved!
  1. 4ward-NA® with puriSorb® Technology inside allows simple (semi-) automation but already facilitates purification of around 10,000 samples in three hours after lysis in manual mode using simple lab equipment.
  1. High yield of high-molecular-weight DNA due to significantly reduced shearing.
    • Only one centrifugation step at 700g (!!) or 1 min vacuum (standard vacuum source, no regulation).

Purisorb® Protocol

Purisorb® Protocol:

  1. Transfer between 60 µl and 120 µl of the lysate to each well of a 4ward-NA® puriPlate96.
  2. Incubate for at least 3 min and centrifuge at max. 700g (!!) for 1 min or apply 1 min vacuum.
The eluate contains ready to use purified DNA!
